Privacy Policy

What we store

  • Account: your email address and sign-in identifiers.
  • Profile & preferences: your chosen area (and, only if you allow it, approximate coordinates from your browser), digest settings and plan flag.
  • Your lists: saved searches, followed sources, planned events, alerts.
  • Searches: every search and AI question you run is recorded — the query text, the filters we derived from it, how many results came back and whether it ran over our stored events or external aggregators.
  • Product analytics: which events, sources and filters get clicked, and when items are added or shared.

Why, and on what lawful basis

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): running your account, watchlist, alerts, email digests and subscription.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): geolocation, non-essential cookies, marketing or digest emails you opt into. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the service secure and improving which events we surface — this covers the search and analytics records above, which we review in aggregate.

Cookies

Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice; these are always set. Preference and analytics cookies — such as remembering your last Events filters — are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. Choosing "Essential only" is respected and clears those cookies.

Who else processes your data

We use service providers to run the app: our cloud database and authentication host, our email delivery provider for digests, our AI provider for search understanding, and our payment provider for Pro subscriptions (we never see your card details). Event content is fetched from public third-party sources.

Retention

Account and list data is kept while your account exists. Search and analytics records are kept for up to 24 months. Deleting your account removes your profile, saved searches, alerts, planned events, followed sources and search history, and anonymises analytics rows so they can no longer be linked to you.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, restrict, object to and delete your data. Settings → Privacy & data has one-click Export my data (JSON) and Delete my account & data. You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
